Zöld kötött kardigán/Green knitted jacket

Néhány hónappal ezelőtt az Indexes fórum egyik tagjának blogján láttam egy kardigánt, amelyet a Drops Design oldalon talált. Akkor szerettem bele teljesen ebbe az oldalba. Hihetetlen sok ingyenes minta található fent, tulajdonképpen soha többé nem is kell kötős újságra költeni, mert aki ezen az oldalon nem talál kötnivalót magának, az hiába is keresne máshol.

Még nyár végén lementettem onnan egy csomó mintát, aztán nagyon nehezen döntést hoztam arról, hogy melyiket csináljam meg elsőként. Végül emellett döntöttem:

A few months ago I saw a jacket on a blogsite of a member of the Index forum I regularly attend. The jacket was from Drops Design and I fell in love completely with that site. They have an amazing amount of patterns, I really don't need to buy any knitting magazine any more, 'cause if I can't find a pattern here that I would love to make, I will not find one anywhere else.

At the end of the summer I downloaded many patterns from the page and then I had to make a decision about which one I'd like to make first. Finally I decided for this one:

Igazából a fonalon is sok múlik, mert szerintem a kardigán úgy mutat igazán jól, ha ilyen melírozott fonalból van. A Drops a saját oldalán árulja a fonalait is, de sajnos Magyarországon nincsen olyan kereskedő, akinél lehetne ilyet kapni. Október folyamán Essent és Münchent is végigjártam, de ott sem lehetett sehol ilyen fonalat kapni. Végül a Lidl-ben volt egy fonalakció, amikor nagyon hasonló melírozott zöld fonalat lehetett kapni. A fonalvastagság is teljesen hasonló az eredetihez képest, így sokat nem is kellett variálni a mintán, csupán annyit, hogy L-es méret helyett az XXXL-es mérethez megadott mintát csinálom. Egyenlőre úgy néz ki, így jó lesz.

A lot depends on the yarn, because I think this jacket looks really good only if it is made of such a multi-coloured yarn. You can buy their yarn in a lot of places, but unfortunately there is no shop that sells these yarns in Hungary. In October I looked around in Essen and Munich (Germany), but there was no such shop there either. Anyway, there was a yarn sale in Lidl and I could buy a yarn that is very similar to Drops'. The yarn quality is also almost the same, so I didn't have to make any changes to the pattern, the only thing is that I make the pattern for XXXL size, instead of the L size. So far it looks it will be OK.
